Alfreton Park Community Special School Learning together for personal success
Latest government guidance has today made it clear that schools will not be funded to provide free school meal vouchers or hampers during the holiday period. Therefore, we will not be doing so as is normally the case during holidays. Please keep in touch with Cheryl and Sharon if you need support.

Religious Education

Religious education is still a legal requirement in most state run schools. Each council sets its own requirement for schools to follow, and at Alfreton Park we follow the Derbyshire guidelines.

Throughout their school career, each pupil will learn something about the five main world faiths.

Much of our R.E. is presented in a sensory and practical way, and visits are often arranged to places of worship.

Pupils enjoy the food, music and art associated with faith celebrations and festivals.

It is our hope that as well as learning to respect other people and their beliefs, our pupils learn that they too are worthy of respect.
